Our prime focus is on people, not products or accreditation programs

The Certification Network Group:

Our prime focus is on certification industry people who own certification programs and tend to the business side of running and growing a credential operation.  We focus on networking and relationship building, not on products or accreditation programs.

Formed as an informal league of organizations, which were considering, developing, administering and supporting professional certification programs for people. Our prime focus is on people, not products or accreditation of programs.

There are no membership fees, no meeting fees and no elected officers. A steering committee of volunteers considers suggested topics for programs and arranges four morning meetings during the calendar year at various locations within the immediate DC metropolitan area.

Meetings are normally set up so that all attendees are active participants. Sometimes the program gets more traditional with a presentation or panel discussion, and then quickly breaks into lively group discussion with lots of Q&A and an abundance of opinions and case histories.

Meeting notices are posted here on this web site and sent by email to everyone who registers to be in the network and gives permission to send announcements to them. The content for this site is managed by the the steering committee and maintained by The Communicators, network members and sponsors.

This is your network. We need your input and encourage you to volunteer your time and expertise to advance the knowledge and fellowship of the Metropolitan DC Certification Networking Group. Click here to contact the Steering Committee.

& Round Table Discussions

Mark your calendars! The next three CNG meeting dates have been set: June 18, September 17 and December 10.

Thanks to all of the members who participated in our recent meeting on March 26th and participated so enthusiastically in our breakout sessions after the presentation by Brian Finnegan, Certification Manager for The SAE Institute.  Brian's complete story about how he used social media and traditional marketing to start up and roll out a full-blown certification program for the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA)  in less than a year is outlined in his PowerPoint presentation, available online here.

Remember, if you have a job posting, please email it to cng@communicators.com so it can be posted on our Careers in Credentialing job board.

The certification community mourns the loss of a true visionary, Steve Halsey - an able, passionate and energetic advocate. A small list of Steve's accomplishments can be seen here.
