Global Professional Skills is a proud sponsor of CNG. As our name indicates we’re all about a global view of certification programs. Whether your program is designed for a domestic audience only, you’re at the early stages of considering a foray into foreign markets or you already have a thriving international program our rapidly changing world is calling for a new view by testing bodies of what you do, how you do it and who you serve.

At GPS our goal is to help associations successfully grow and adapt their professional education and certification programs to a changing world. We design, implement, manage and outsource learning, certification and recertification/continuing education products and processes – putting a focus on the most important sources of non-dues revenue and membership to professional associations. We act as a strategic partner to professional associations and not-for-profit organizations to develop resources – people, products and initiatives – that will secure their ongoing and future growth.

Having worn both the shoes of consultants and association leaders, one of the things we value at Global Professional Skills is the ability of vendors to work collaboratively together to provide more for clients than the sum of their parts. Like many of our colleagues serving the testing industry, we operate with this mindset. We are also constantly seeking new opportunities for formalizing collaborations through strategic partnerships.

While many associations have been expanding internationally for well over a decade, the context and conditions for internationalization have radically changed, particularly since 9/11 and the rapid growth of the world economy and connective digital technologies. The landscape has changed, new challenges are emerging as are exciting opportunities. In the midst of all this change however, finding and following a path forward for any particular association is often a complex venture for a multitude of reasons. The opportunities are significant, there are many questions, the challenges can be daunting and the risks are very real.

At GPS we believe that having sufficient talent and resources at hand for internationalization projects is not enough – you need to have the right talent and resources.
