Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO)

The Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) was founded in 1958 and currently has roughly 135 full-time staff. We are a non-profit organization specializing in R&D supporting testing programs used in government, education, industry, and the non-profit community. In addition to our work in certification and licensure testing, we develop tests and measures used for large-scale employee selection, promotion, and performance appraisal systems. HumRRO also provides R&D and consulting services related to a wide range of other areas associated with the improvement of individual and organizational performance, including training development, survey research, and program evaluation. We enjoy a strong reputation for quality work in multiple arenas.

HumRRO staff members are excited, engaged in each new challenge, and bring top-notch quality to our work. For our certification clients, we generally have small teams led by a Ph.D. or Master’s-level project director who is directly involved in all aspects of the work.

HumRRO provides the following services to our certification clients:

Conducting job analysis studies
Designing and validating a wide variety of test types (e.g., multiple-choice, live and computer-based performance tests, situational judgment tests, oral exams)
Creating item banks and associated test maintenance processes
Setting performance standards
Developing test administration protocols
Training test administrators and assessors
Scoring assessments and providing candidate feedback
Developing study guides
Conducting psychometric studies
Conducting independent program audits
